Official Rules
Last updated: 21 April 2026
§1NO PURCHASE NECESSARY
A purchase or payment of any kind will not increase your chances of winning. Void where prohibited by law, including in any jurisdiction requiring a permit or registration that the Sponsor has not obtained.
§2Eligibility
Open to legal residents of the United States (excluding RI and AZ), the United Kingdom, Canada (excluding Quebec), and Australia who are 18 years or older at the time of entry. Employees, officers, directors, and agents of Guided Intelligence Pty Ltd and their immediate family members (spouse, parents, siblings, children) and persons living in the same household are not eligible.
§3How to enter
- Method 1 (Primary): Create a free account at luckyhour.com.au or in the Lucky Hour mobile app. Press the in-app button once per hour to receive one (1) entry per press into the current week’s draw. Limit one (1) entry per hour per account. Watching an optional rewarded ad grants one (1) additional entry per press (up to two entries per hourly press).
- Method 2 (AMOE — Alternate Method of Entry): Hand-write your first name, last name, email address, date of birth, country of residence, and the text “Lucky Hour Weekly Entry” on a 3×5 card and mail it in a standard #10 envelope to: Lucky Hour AMOE, PO Box TBA, Australia. Limit of one (1) AMOE entry per envelope per Entry Period. AMOE entries must be postmarked by Saturday 23:59 local time and received by the Sponsor no later than Sunday 19:00 UTC to qualify for that Entry Period’s draw. Late, illegible, incomplete, mechanically reproduced, or altered entries are void. AMOE entries have an equal chance of winning as Method 1 entries.
§4Odds of winning
Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received during each Entry Period. The greater the number of entries, the lower the individual odds.
§5Draw schedule & selection
Each weekly Entry Period begins Monday 00:00 UTC and ends Sunday 20:00 UTC. The winner is selected within one (1) hour of the draw-period end time using a cryptographically random 8-byte seed generated via PostgreSQL
gen_random_bytes(8). The resulting seed is committed to the Lucky Hour database prior to winner determination, and the commitment hex is publicly visible on the live draw page and in the winner record. Winning entry number =(abs(seed) mod total_entries) + 1. Entry numbers are assigned sequentially in the order received across all entry methods.§6Prize
One (1) cash prize per weekly draw with an Approximate Retail Value of US$100 (or local-currency equivalent as at the draw date). Paid via PayPal, Venmo, direct bank transfer, or a retailer gift card at the Sponsor’s option and the winner’s preference. Prize is paid within seven (7) days of winner confirmation. Only one (1) prize per person per Entry Period. Prizes are non-transferable and no substitution is permitted except by the Sponsor, who may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the advertised prize becomes unavailable.
§7Taxes
All federal, state, provincial, territorial, and local taxes, duties, levies, withholdings, and any other costs arising from prize acceptance are the sole responsibility of the winner. The Sponsor may require the winner to complete tax forms (such as a US W-9 or Australian TFN declaration) before disbursement.
§8Winner notification & alternate selection
Winners are notified via the email on file and via in-app notification within 24 hours of selection. Winners must respond within seven (7) days to confirm eligibility and claim the prize. If the winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, fails to respond, fails to complete required tax forms, or declines the prize, that entry is forfeited and the Sponsor will run a new cryptographically random selection over the remaining eligible entries for that Entry Period to choose an alternate winner. This process repeats up to three (3) times; if no valid winner is confirmed, the prize for that Entry Period is not awarded.
§9Publicity release
By accepting a prize, each winner consents, except where prohibited by law, to the Sponsor’s use of their username, country of residence, and prize amount (but never their email address or other personal contact details) in winner announcements on the Lucky Hour website, mobile app, and the Sponsor’s social channels for up to twelve (12) months following the draw. Winners may request the use of an initial in place of their username by contacting the Sponsor within 48 hours of notification.
§10General conditions
By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and by the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding in all matters relating to the promotion. The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entrant found to be tampering with the entry process, the operation of the promotion, or violating the terms of service, and to void affected entries. The Sponsor reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the promotion if fraud, technical failure, or any other factor impairs its integrity, in which case the Sponsor may, at its discretion, award the prize among eligible entries received up to the point of such action.
§11Governing law & dispute resolution
These Official Rules are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to the promotion shall be resolved exclusively by the courts located in Victoria, Australia, and entrants consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. To the fullest extent permitted by law, entrants waive any right to participate in a class, collective, or representative proceeding against the Sponsor. Before filing any claim, entrants agree to attempt informal resolution by contacting the Sponsor via the contact form and allowing thirty (30) days for a response.
§12Regional permits & restrictions
This promotion is void in any Australian state or territory where a Trade Promotion Lottery permit is required and has not been obtained, including (without limitation) New South Wales, the Australian Capital Territory, and South Australia, to the extent such permits apply. Residents of ineligible regions may still create an account but are not eligible to win the cash prize.
§13Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Sponsor, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents are not liable for any loss or damage (including indirect, consequential, or incidental damages) arising out of participation in the promotion or acceptance of the prize, except where such liability cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
